Natural Tooth Whitening Recipe
Strawberry Scrub
1 Strawberry
1 tsp. baking soda
Mash the strawberry and add the baking soda. Mix well. Apply to teeth and let sit for 5 minutes. Brush the mixture off your teeth with toothbrush and follow with flossing to help remove any left over strawberry seeds. It is safe to use this recipe once per week.
Strawberries contain malic acid. Malic acid will help to remove discoloration because it is an astringent. The baking soda acts as a buffer to help remove stains.
Hydrogen Peroxide Paste
2 tbsp. hydrogen peroxide
2 tbsp. baking soda
Mix the hydrogen peroxide with the baking soda. Form a paste. Add more baking soda if the mixture is too runny. Wet your tooth brush and dip into the paste. Brush your teeth with the paste so that the teeth are evenly coated. Let mixture sit on teeth for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, rinse your toothbrush with water and wet brush the paste off of your teeth. Keep rinsing brush and brushing teeth until coating of mixture is gone. Rinse mouth with water. You may use this paste once per week.
